It feels as though I have so much to do, when really, so much of what I feel I MUST do is not necessarily necessary-- well it is if I want to remain sane. So onward...
I haven't had a great deal of time to devote to posting because there are things like organizing the baby's clothes, writing thank you notes, ensuring that our sleeping arrangement is doable/safe/comfortable, setting up the changing table, and making gifts. Gifts? Well, only one gift has been made so far. It's a sorta Easter/thank you gift for someone that I love. I am not naming any names because they might read this before I can give it to them, but I will post pictures. It's a shirt that I've made before for myself. I was inspired to use two different fabrics after seeing Julie's shirt. The purple is just some faded cotton and the neck + pocket are from a mostly shredded tapestry-type-thing that came home with Benb one time. I added a cute little pocket, made it a bit longer, and used the ties instead of a belt.
Love this pattern. Once again, the neck band gave me some trouble. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong. This time it wasn't the gathering so much as it was getting it even. Maybe the third time will be a charm?
