The Ducks are Done

So perhaps this won't fit for a few months, but that's okay. I'm still in love with these red and white ducks! I used a pattern (Butterick 5896) that I mistakenly bought in the wrong sizes. These rompers and tees are very quick to sew up. My only gripe is that they tell you to use snap tape. Oh gosh. I don't know weather it's my zipper attachment, or what, but it was not fun and it looked so bulky-- I can't imagine what it would feel like to have between the legs. Anyway, the snap tape came off, replaced by plain old snaps. Thank goodness for plain old snaps.

The romper and tee were made from cotton jersey. The ducks and bias edging are quilting cotton. Sally of shimandsons has a great mini-tutorial on applique that came in handy once I'd come up with the duck design.

Today we will be reviewing Benb's latest MRI results with his doctor. Here he is playing the drums this morning! Let's all think good thoughts...
