On Friday, we spent the afternoon fabric shopping and then made our way to my Mom's for a grownup pizza party. After being lost for about an hour or so on some back roads between Albion and Freedom, it was such a relief to be in my Mom's beautiful, cozy home. She is brilliant in all sorts of ways, but especially when it comes to creating beauty. 
The birthday cake (carrot!!) was and still is divine... it has been our breakfast for two days now. I love being 28. 
I wish that it wasn't so cold because all that I want to do is look at my newly pedicured toes. What a treat! Thank you, Benb for loving me so well. You made my birthday the best day of the year so far.
