I should know by now that salons are not for me. It seems that whenever I have my hair cut by an official "stylist", I end up with something that echoes the mullet-- not necessarily a full on mullet-- more like a nod to the mullet. Longer in the back and shorter in the front. Hmmm. Is it me? Am I the inspiration for these stylistic blunders? We inevitably end up fixing my hair at home. This requires help from Benb-- mostly because I can't reach around to trim up the "party in the back". With my most recent cut-- which had a Dorothy Hamill thing going on-- he had to take off almost two inches. Oh geez. So now we both have Summer hair (Benb's hair was cut by me about a week ago) and it feels good, despite the fact that we haven't had much in the way of Summery weather. I didn't intend to go on and on about hair...

A project is happening slowly. I'm making a tunic/dress out of this gray cotton. I screwed up a bit on the tucks. I don't really know what happened there. Anyway, I just have the front bands to finish up, buttons to sew on, and buttonholes to make. You will get to see it in its completed form in the future.
